It would not surprise me if this is the peak of Ben Johnson’s HC tenure. As soon as he was hired I felt he would have a short term boost, but once he got into years 2-4 his schtick is going to wear thin

Would be reminiscent of Matt Nagy, got 12 wins with Trubisky and immediately knocked out of the playoffs, then completely bottomed out.

However, I do think Johnson is one of the best offensive coaches in the league and has done well with what he's had to work with. Williams is inaccurate as heck, he's only been slightly more accurate than JJ McCarthy and if you factor in drops, JJM was more accurate than him this year.

I don’t feel too bad for him because he wanted to work with Caleb Williams knowing what he looked like after his rookie season.
