Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2025 Posted October 3, 2025 Catching this TNF game at the bitter end. Another OT starting shortly for the 9ers and Rams...
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2025 Author Posted October 3, 2025 Dang. Looks like the Rams should have won this one outright but fumbled at the goal line?
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2025 Author Posted October 3, 2025 9ers kicker doinks it off the crossbar and in for the FG. Rams ball
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2025 Author Posted October 3, 2025 McVay goes for the win on 4th and 1 and fails. 9ers DL stepped up!

Alfred Collins punched it out. I missed the game but he was one of the players in the draft I was excited about. Vanimal46 1
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2025 Posted October 3, 2025 I was surprised by that game. I thought the Rams would eat the 49ers for dinner. Mike Sixel and Danchat 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 I hate the eagles so damn much and nobody can beat them. Maybe the Vikings will in a couple weeks
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 Wow broncos go ahead of Philly. Gutsy performance, still lots of time left
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 Down go the eagles! Vanimal46 1
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 There are some truly awful teams in the NFL. Vanimal46 1
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 Cincy has to make a trade. Browning is horrible but the AFC North is a mess.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 So the Vikings hit a camera wire and the Jets hit a camera on a passing play. Sounds like something the NFL needs to figure out. Mike Sixel 1
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 Arizona losing this game is one of the most unbelievable things I've seen. Fumbling on a 71 yard run. Go ahead and look up the highlight of the fumble recovery touchdown for the Titans - it needs Benny Hill music. Vanimal46 1

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2025 Posted October 6, 2025 In addition to there being four to six terrible teams , there are zero great teams.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2025 Author Posted October 6, 2025 The Bills aren't dead yet in this game...

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2025 Posted October 6, 2025 Man, just great game after great game today, both sports. This could be the best sports weekend of every year.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2025 Author Posted October 6, 2025 Drake Maye tonight is why I wanted to trade the farm to get him in the draft for the Vikings... Would have been willing to go 3 1st round picks for him. New England saw the same outcome, unfortunately.

The reports were that the Vikings offered them 3 1sts, and the Giants offered at least 2 firsts (they were at #6). NE was convinced he was a franchise QB and they look right. I liked him more than Daniels, but now both of those two are head and shoulders above Williams. Vanimal46 1

I think that's right. Any given Sunday, blah blah blah. But here are the one or worse teams by record: Ravens (1-4) - How? Middle of fourth quarter week one I was saying they were the class of the NFL. Insane. I still think they'll make the playoffs because the AFC north is garbage. Raiders (1-4) - I honestly thought Geno Smith, Brock Bowers, and Pete Carroll would have this team in the respectable range, something like 7-9 wins. Titans (1-4) - Too early to give up on Ward. Their GM did a nice job of getting some picks for Theilen. But it'll take awhile to fix the team. But at least they are making good decisions. Miami (1-4) - Coach and QB are both cooked. Just ugly situation. Browns (1-4) - strong defensively but nothing on offense. Broken. Saints (1-4) - At least they beat the Giants? Giants (1-4) - At least they ain't the Jets? Five turnovers against NO? Unreal. Jets (0-5) - 0-3 at home. 0-2 in the division already. NE and Buffalo are real teams now. Defense is really bad, too.

Wish I remember who, but one of the talking heads was convinced that Maye was the biggest bust in that QB class. Something about the offense he ran in college wouldn't translate and he couldn't stay in the pocket, even if it was clean.
