How bad must sanders be to not get a shot over Gabriel? Browns have a good RB and defense. Could win some games with competent qb play

maybe that’s a bit harsh since he had two TDs and a 94 rating.

I thought he played okay within the kind of game plan you use to break in a rookie QB.  But it seemed pretty clear they don't really trust him to throw the ball downfield yet

I am more than a bit shocked we walked away with a win.  -2 in the turnover margin, 4 starting OL out against the league's best front....

Gutty win.

never a Doubt !!

Yep. This team really thinks it can win every game. Amazing culture. Defense was really clutch, despite giving up 100 yards on the ground.

Also,  give credit to KOC, his pay calling was a lot better today

I'm not sure I ever want to see Wentz again....but they did somehow win with no OL......

Accuracy is a problem and he’s a slow decision maker. Tough combo with the pressure he’s usually under. But he played tough after that shot he took.

Will Addison ever grow up? Did he think he was just on vacation during the week?

Some guys just don’t get it. Then again I wasn’t a millionaire in my 20s

The thought of paying a massive 2nd contract to Addison terrifies me. I have zero interest doing that. Let him be someone else’s headache down the road.

Maybe he was stuck in that same roundabout Clark Griswold was in in European vacation

Will the thrill hit a wire on his missed FG. And the replay official and KOC missed it?

Yeah I just read about that and am wondering too. KOC may not have had a good angle. And it stayed end over end. Some kicks do fly in a fade, but not like that sharp. Someone somewhere should have noticed and pulled the alarms.

Did anyone notice it? I sure didn’t

I thought it had a weird amount of english on it but never saw a replay to see why.

Crazy that nobody in authority caught it. Could easily have been the difference in the game

Any chance that Jefferson gets in his ear?

I sure hope so as JJ is a CLASS ACT!

The Browns aren't exactly a good or great team. But they do have a hell of a lot of talent on the defensive side of the ball.

But in the 4th quarter the OL consisted of ONE starter. Darisaw was out for some reason, so Skubal was in, switching from RT. Rouse then came in to to play RT. So Fries was the ONLY #1 starting OL at that point.

And they still won the game?

That's a hell of a performance from the OL and I give credit to them and Wentz.

Real credit to the make-shift o-line.

Next Gen Stats Insight for Vikings-Browns (via NFL Pro): The Vikings limited Myles Garrett to two pressures on 35 pass rushes (5.7%), his second-lowest pressure rate in a game since 2021. The Vikings slowed him down by chipping Garrett on 42.9% of his rushes (15 of 35), the third-highest chip rate Garrett has faced since at least 2018. Justin Skule, who entered the game having allowed a 14.3% pressure rate, held Garrett without a pressure on 14 pass rush matchups.

Yeah, Gabriel was probably an under-rated prospect. He played at major programs, threw for a ton of yards and TDs and can move. The odds are against him working out, but I don't think he was that much of a reach for Cleveland to draft in the 3rd round.

He's already 24. He's 5' 11". He's not Brees. He's two inches shorter than Mayfield. I think his floor is relatively safe for the reasons you stated but he won't be a top 15 QB in any season in this league.
