Permanent Twins Fan Verified Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 Just checking back in, Misiorowski has been great in the postseason despite struggling in the second half of the season. The Cubs have really leaned in to Theilbar this postseason, and this series especially, and he has produced. I know that a lot of Twins fans have bad memories with him, but he could be a good add on a one year deal to add a veteran to a bullpen that will need some help.
Blyleven2011 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 Can anyone explain in a elimination game why both teams have gone with bullpen arms right from the start of the game ???? .... Cubbies down to 6 outs before elimination .... Doctor Gast 1

Permanent Twins Fan Verified Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 That's a needed insurance run for the Brewers. Both teams are running out of relief pitchers, so it would be a problem for both teams if this goes to extras. Blyleven2011 1

Blyleven2011 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 Sorry cubby fans , you are now officially eliminated and can pack up and go on vacation ... Im happy for Milwaukee and they will have there work cut out for them against the dodgers but I expect a good series ... All runs scored tonight on solo homeruns , last time I looked both teams didn't have alotcof runners in scoring position except that one inning for cubbies ...
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 several players make more in 1 year than the Twins payroll -- we have zero hope here
tony&rodney Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 Brewers - $123M vs. Dodgers - $396M Mariners - $166M vs. Blue Jays - $258M via Fangraphs At this point it is just baseball though. Plenty of good players and great plays. mrtwinsfan 1
tony&rodney Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 It is fun to watch the games but also the crowds. How do people watching see things? I feel like Seattle and the Chicago Cubs fans have been the best so far, although all have been amazing. I was disappointed how quickly the Yankee fans exited the stadium before the game was over.

It just shows guaranteed (for instance, not subject to arbitration) contracts on the books for next year. For the Twins, that means it's just Pablo+Buxton+Correa. So yeah, nowhere near close to actual payroll
