You are going anoint a 31 year old career minor leaguer with 7 ML AB's as your starting SS.  They have no reasonable path to getting to the playoffs much less any noise if they pulled off the miracle.  So you need to find out what you have and don't have so you can fill the holes in the offseason.  Yes Lee has had his moments where he has not looked good.  He has barely 600 AB's and never played the same position for any length of time.  Give him regular playing time at the same position and see what he does.

I do not care how old any player is, prejudice is a silly habit.ILee is a black hole at short stop, he was good at 3rd , and only there.

Lee is a gaping hole at SS, he should NOT be there.

It is not prejudice when no team has seen enough of a player to even give him a shot.  He was actually going to play in Mexico this year until the Twins offered the minor league deal.  So not I am not going to give him a starting job, his history suggests otherwise.

Lee was a top draft pick and still only 24,  Give him run this year and see what you have, that is the proper management of the roster with the players available.
