I think Sands was probably hoping to get through at least 2 innings.  The nearly 20 pitches in the first inning is concerning.  As I type this, Coulombe is warming up.

So, going forward, when does a game get suspended and when does it get called short of nine innings? The Twins had a game suspended against Cleveland and shortened against Cincinnati.

he has had ? more than a few , thats for sure,  between Willie- Lee- Kuechall -Clemens  someone wont be here after all star break- to many 2b - hope Kuschell switches to 1b, that will clear 2 spots -France and Clemens

This left/right changes is a bit of overthinking at times. My belief is that it can help keep a pitcher to remain in a game if he is doing well. I have had a tough time adjusting to this concept. Jack Morris would have never made it into a 10th inning in the WS in today's world.

Eventually it will be Wentz if we keep that strategy. Ideally we will be up by six at that point but we could be down by six too.
