Between 2002 and 2011 the Twins scored 588 runs against the Yankees and allowed 821, for a pythagorean record of .353. So, maybe 1 of every 7 losses is on Gardy. Maybe. But mostly, the Yankees have just built better teams.

I have to admit that I want to see Walters get lit up tonight. The best thing for this team is to clear him off the roster and clear some room so Worley and maybe Albers can get some starts later in the season.

If I lived in Vegas, I would be betting big on this one. Sabathia is going for his 20th [edit - 200th] career win and the Twins seem demoralized. With the right odds (1,000 to 1 or better), I might even bet that it will be a no hitter.

Nothing is a sure thing, but I wish that I could make that bet before game time. Even if I lost the bet (which seems unlikely to say the least), my happiness at beating the Yankees would be worth more than $157.
