mnfireman Verified Member Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 Jax since those back to back bad games in April; 27.1 IP, 6 ER (1.98 ERA), 48/5 (K/BB), 22 hits allowed. Yes he might look a little shaky some nights (like tonight), but basically he's been elite since the middle of April. Let's appreciate what we have while we have it. We’re not talking about him enough any TD writer typing an article about him in the very recent future can buy me a small bag of mini donuts next time I go to TF Richie the Rally Goat 1
Western SD Fan Verified Member Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 @stringer bell I had this whole article written to respond to you detailing all the things that many of us see over and over again without being addressed or being addressed for lip service to the media (and fans) but nothing ever really happens. After thinking about it a bit more, I have come up with a more succinct response. The Twins, to most of us, are like an old friend with an addiction, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. The few times it does happen seem to validate said addiction, so the Twins do not change. The difference between the Twins and an old friend, is that no matter how much we commiserate to them (on this site), they are not going to listen and try to get the help they need. That doesn't make us inferior as to our opinion. We want to see us being better with situations like tonight where we took the extra base or stole the extra base to get in scoring position. It definitely looked as if they were more focused as in previous opinions.

I just don’t think it’s fair to register knee-jerk criticism and ride hobby horses and it sours the threads to me. So and so got a hit, but the guy we didn’t keep threw a shutout. Buxton homered, but he struck out with two on. And so it goes. Be critical, but be fair and it makes the threads much more enjoyable (to me). I’ve seen complaints that some posters seem to want to contribute only to pile on and I agree to some degree. I know everyone should be able to offer an opinion, but peeing in the punch bowl makes it a bad experience for most of us. Western SD Fan 1
