Don't Feed the Greed Guy Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Kazmir: 12 home runs in 55 innings pitched. Yum! That's two-a-game, compared to Correia's 1.5 HR/9IP.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Wow, the back end of Cleveland's rotation isn't much is it? Masterson (sp) and Ubaldo are erratic but great when they're on. These three--well let's just say that it will be disappointing if any of them pitch in the sixth inning this weekend. OTOH, the Tribe is putting up pretty big offensive numbers. If the Twins hold them to four runs a game, they should win two and maybe all three games.
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Not often you can look at the pitching match-ups alone and feel good about a Twins sweep. Throw our hot bats into the mix and I like our chances of moving up in the standings.
edavis0308 Provisional Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I would think that Plouffe would be able to really get on a slugging tear against one of these left handers.
fairweather Provisional Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 As good as Walters has been, a .315 BAA and a 1.6 WHIP aren't going to keep him in the rotation long.

At the risk of Jinxing him terribly, I'll go ahead and predict he bats .400 this series and sluggs a nice round .600. Oh, and 5 RBI.

Part of the Twins good fortunes thus far this year, has been their continued ability to miss the opposing team's aces.

Frankly, I'm out of "thyme" waiting for Gibbie's call-up... and I tire of the "sage" advice about admonitions for waiting for more "consistency" from you guys in the Goldilocks crowd who trust that TR is slowplaying the promotion in order to make Gibson "just right.":o

Enjoy the game tonight.

I've got a pot roast named Gibson planned for Sunday that I'm getting ready.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Gibson for Pelfrey... I'm good... While I don't like the Walters Whip... I like the Walters result thus far. For tonight... Deduno Baby... Deduno.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Naked before or after taking out? ... Wait, don't really tell us. Please. Both... Of course... You'd be surprised how fast the service is when u walk in naked.

Uhh, you did? Goldilocks/"just right" ... it was you who opened this can of lentil soup..... they do seem to go together....like steak and fries, beans and franks, sage and thyme..... Using further metaphor deconstruction, re: your Gibson Pot Roast, are you now declaring that I too should plan to kill the fatted calf in anticipation of the celebratory feast to mark the return of the prodigal prospect come Sunday night?
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Yeah but tolerance can work both ways. Enjoy the game. I promise to be very tolerant of your right not to have to read things you have no interest in. And thanks, be assured that I will enjoy beating up on the Indians tonight. Same goes back to you.

The problem with riding a nag like Walters is eventually you end up broken down and stranded....alone and naked....in a hotel in Bismarck...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 The problem with riding a nag like Walters is eventually you end up broken down and stranded....alone and naked....in a hotel in Bismarck... Jeez... You make it sound like its a bad thing.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Jeez... You make it sound like its a bad thing. Only if you decide to call one of the escorts whose photo you're browsing. You think you're choosing between Ginger and Mary Anne, but it's really Rosie Odonel and Melissa McCarthy.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I liked Deduno's first much better than his second.
