I'm gonna need an explanation on why we send the runner back to 1st because the batter made contact with the catcher yet the batter is allowed to continue his turn at-bat.  If you're calling interference there, the inning is over.

I know I watched Willi Castro almost single handedly lose back to back games against the Yankees with a plethora of boneheaded moves and he never so much as missed an at bat

I think even you'd admit there isn't any evidence any of this matters to the manager. Or at least no evidence of any consequences.

You are both proving my point. You are confirming that the only thing we know is that we can't see what would be your preferred "accountability".  That is not the absence of accountability.

Come on.

This isn't honest argument.

I had to look it up, I was thinking the same thing.  There is a different rule or exception for backswing interference, if judged to be unintentional, is a stoppage, strike called and all runners return. No outs given.

It's not an argument at all.

It's basic common sense.

Except there’s an accepted norm in the game that if you make enough mental mistakes, you don’t get to play the game for a spell.

Now, Willi got a “talking to” after that Yankees series. And the team still has more brain farts than I see our opponents have.

Maybe time for a new tactic then?

What’s common sense? Our team is more often disciplined and sloppy than they should be?
