This team looks to have absolutely no fight to them lately. No momentum whatsoever. What's even more alarming is this lineup is looking more and more like the lineup from the start of the year when we were striking out 12-15 times per game. Hopefully tomorrows lineup isn't a typical Rocco rubber game lineup with no Lewis, Buxton or Miranda. I really think our playoff chances are going to hinge on the 8 games we play against Cleveland. Hopefully we can get fully healthy and on a bit of a roll before we play them. Since we didn't upgrade our pitching at all, anyone think there's a chance we see Zebby out of the bullpen? I think Varland will be first man up, but if he struggles like he has as a starter, we're going to need someone to pitch quality innings

It's an ok lineup today. Willi actually has the day off. The lineup will look a lot better when Correa is back in it. Will it hit its weight though? Correa won't instantly come back the same guy he was when he left. Miranda, Jeffers, and occasionally Buck look lost. Santana and Willi are exhausted. Lee had an ok game yesterday but looks overmatched (not Julienned anyway). Lewis is either hurt or has regressed badly. Martin ain't the end all.

Margot, Wallner, and Vazquez are performing at or near expected levels.

I cannot buy the small town Twins versus the big city Mets argument.  We have the sixteenth largest metro area in the US and we have one rich owner.  We choose what we want to be and the deadline says we want to play and pay just enough to be interesting.  So I will continue to be interested in prospects.

I find it hard to understand this lineup. All year it's been the same. Either hitting great, like on of the best lineups in the MLB. Or, we're getting shut out and striking out 15 times. Where's the consistency? Last night was a real eye opener. Our three best bats Buxton Lewis and Miranda went what, 0-11 with ten k's? Buxton w the golden sombrero and Lewis with three? If this is what we're going to get the rest of the way there's no way we even make the playoffs.

Trying to find the silver lining(s) on a disappointing day overall...Griping is low hanging fruit so I'll try to reach a bit higher. David looked much more composed on the mound and was a bit more efficient with a seemingly better plan overall. Has he always been paired with the same catcher? Has the composure and confidence come with more repetition?? Caleb sees to be finding his groove once more...Again - how much did that early injury derail his season initially?? Then there's Miranda....I was involved in a serious bike crash several years ago - Took time to feel comfortable in the saddle again, particularly in traffic. Digging into the batters box just days of taking a fastball to the helmet....Just wow. Pulling for you Jose.
