Beaker Street was great!

Late night am radio in the 60’s and 70’s was fantastic.

WLS in Chicago, KOMA in OKC, KAAY in Little Rock for music

KDKA in Pittsburgh, WCCO in Minneapolis, WJR in Detroit, KMOX in St. Louis WSB in Atlanta for baseball

Can still get some late night AM MLB. I'm on east coast, Mets Nats Guards and Cards come in reliably

Hey it's not a one run game right now it's a zero run game!

This is ****ing painful

It would be worse without the pitch clock. The 9:10 start will probably make this one go to midnight.

Speaking of starting times, the Twins used to start their home games at 8:05, but the length of games was a lot shorter back in the 60s.

Feels like Pablo is too hellbent on getting the off-speed stuff to work tonight.

Didn't he watch Jax last night?

That would be 1 am for me. Not sure I’d make it

I love that you have to be completely set or it’s a balk, but you can flutter your glove around like a peacock trying to mate and it’s ok

Santana’s not a HOFer, obviously, but 20 years from now, people are going to look at his b-r.com page and say, “That was a pretty good player.”

Per 162 games, he’s averaged 31 doubles, 25 homers, 85 RBIs and 100 walks and currently a 114 OPS+. Nine seasons of 150+ games and on pace for a 10th.

EDITS to add: 300+ career homers, likely 400+ doubles. Currently 55th among 1Bs in career bWAR.

(Aside, Rizzo recently pushed Hrbek out of the top 50 in bWAR.)

Maybe someone read my observation in between innings.  That 4th was tidier.

Pablo really is an ultra sweaty guy. The grays don’t flatter him

Wasn’t there a discussion recently about how many Twins FO people are following TD? Maybe Maki is following the Game Threads.

He must be a hairy dude. We tend to usually stay pretty moist

Yes, I remember the late night clear channel stations. Little Rock, Chicago, St. Louis. I listened to a few St. Louis games. Some great music.

1970 when KQRS first hit the air waves, as  an AM only station, we would listen to KQ till it lost power in the evening then switch to KOMA, or KAAY.

Early KQRS was totally different from the commercial thing it is now.

I met one of the gents who worked there in the early years, and he said while they were commercial from the get-go they had empty spots to fill so they would stick in there  what ever they could.

I still remember the Zodiac News well.
