It wasn't a 1 run game. At this point you just seem to be trying to find ways to confirm your Rocco bias and are creating situations that didn't actually happen in an attempt to be mad at him.

Agreed, the days of a designated closer are fading. High contact hitters are coming to the plate? Bring in your ground ball relievers. Free swingers are coming up? Good time to deploy the arms that induce weak contact outside of the zone. Big boppers are up? Bring in your fireballer who strikes out 30% of the hitters he faces.

I trend to be negative during game days. My thoughts on Popkins and Rocco are well known. I think there's enough of a track record for the negativity to be justified. Overall though, I like this roster and think they're capable of having a good season but-for the two aforementioned...

I don’t disagree with some of that. But we do try and make game threads, well, on the fun side. Of course a lot of that depends on the team, and sometimes expressions of dismay over the game at hand are warranted. But constant hammering of specific themes does get tiring and we do try to not let game threads become the place for the beating of dead horses. Save it for discussion threads of that topic. You aren’t alone. That said, I will amend my above statement, that you are the polar opposite of the polar opposite when it comes to Correa. You and I are very much on that same train! 🙂

Fair enough. At the end of the day, we're all on the same side. I will make an effort to be more even-keeled during the game day threads. And absolutely agreed on Correa. Twins are lucky to have him!
