Twins Not Looking To Trade For Prospects, Seeking Need-For-Need MLB Move

I suspect not much happens until March. Twins have a number of players that can play 2B. Right now they want MLB talent back for Polanco. It appears no org wants to pony up what our FO thinks he's worth. An injury or two during ST on another team can/would change what they would pay. He's still not going to bring anymore than a backend SP but they may be willing at that point to give up a couple Top 10 prospects. Which may also even meet the Twins desires. Even though they say only MLB talent in January. This same scenario also applies to Farmer and Kepler.

It is just possible that Falvey believes that the Twins best chance to win is with all of Polanco, Kepler, Vazquez, and Farmer on the team. He may wait to see if something pops up like the Brewers trading Burnes for Polanco and a pitcher. Who knows?

Another injury to Jorge Polanco or a Twins teammate would change the calculus as well.
