This just sums up the whole twins season in one game. Also shows that our pitchers are human and not gods. I almost wished we got no hit just to let the game sink into the hitters minds. Make them think, “man… maybe we need to change our approach.” But also, I would like to point out how dead the dugout looks throughout the game. Even when the game was close nobody seemed to be cheering or rooting their teammates on. There are no leaders, no sparks, no friends in that dugout right now. Such a boring and disappointing team to watch. That somehow day in and out have me questioning, “god, when will this game end?” Seems the nightmare that is the 2023 Minnesota Twins is finally turning into sleep paralysis. For all of us.

They are a reflection of their manager.

Some kind of personnel changes must be made. I think a coach or 2 and maybe Rocco should get the boot. In addition, I would approach Polo about switching to 1st base, either him or Julian should be moved over. Moving Polo might be easier on his legs, and he could get some serious reps om his rehab assignment. Move AK into OF. Try to trade (or even DFA) Gallo. I also wonder if Buxton is hurt so bad, why is he playing? Either put him on IL or play him in the OF, at least 3-5 days per week. Free up the DH spot for Wallner. Much cheaper than Gallo. Its time for a change, and at this point I'd say lets let some of the kids play. What can it hurt? May even breath a little spark back into this total failure of a lineup!

did I hear the hitting coach was let go? Twins unfortunately caught the O's at the wrong time this past weekend. Taking advantage of the Rays first slump, they pared 4 games off their deficit with some very inspired play against a very uninspired team and are now even in the lost column with TB. O's came off their 5 game losing streak with a 5 game win streak. Thats how its done!

Gibson has 'won' 9 games despite some pretty ugly pitching this year. Helps to have some bats bail you out. As for Hicks...he isn't a bad ballplayer. He was pretty abused in NY over the past couple of seasons and he has been re-born in Baltimore. Making major contributions and the clubhouse loves him. Change of scenery was perfect. Returned to NY last week. Yanks gave him a video tribute and the fans booed. Classless response. I have always maintained that every time the Yankees lose a game, an angel gets its wings.

Twins definitely need to make major adjustments 2nd half. While their pitching couldn't contain the Orioles, the bigger issue is the dead lineup. They looked OK against KC...but everybody looks good against them. They have a few days off now to try and figure things out.

I got offered two tickets a few rows behind the Twins dugout for yesterday's game. Turned them down and went fishing with my son, didn't catch anything but was more fun than watching this team. That pretty much sums up on how I feel about this Twins team.

Yankees fired their hitting coach.  Haven't heard anything about ours.

The Baltimore hitters are showing the Twins hitters how it's done. Even with the high strikeouts, they had some good bats and pushed Ryan's pitch count high and got him out of the game in the 5th inning. Even when they struck out the count was 2-2 or 3-2 most of the time.

I think new hitting coaches are needed TBH. Nothing has really changed - a few good games with the bat (mainly against awful KC pitching) and now back to this garbage again.

I see that the Yankees fired their hitting coach. That guy was their hitting coach last year, when Judge set the AL HR record. Apparently Popkins has a longer leash than him.

thanks guys, I knew SOMEBODY fired their hitting coach! Twins should probably follow suit though. Something has to be shook up.

Was an article on Twins Daily a few days ago that suggested the Twins had finally matched the Yankees in the offensive department. I replied that it should have read, the Yankees finally matched the Twins. Well, when you are that bad some clubs take action, which we have now seen the Yankees do. How long will it take the Twins? Really when it come right down to it, any action at this point would be better than accepting what we are seeing and continuing with this ineptitude. Common fans can see the changes that need to be made. Are the powers that be that blind or just too proud to admit they have made monumental mistakes? I think the latter, which is why they will continue with the crap we are seeing.
