WINNAH!!! I think this was an even more satisfying win than last night.

I’m not sure. How about if we have another one of each so we can make a more educated decision?

Pagan (W, 1-0)

In all seriousness, good for him, and he threw well.

No way, to small sample size.  Need at least a month of each.

Ok, now I feel greedy, lol.

To be fair, I think this was a very small number of very ‘persistent’ posters.

Me, for one  🙂

winning trumps hot takes 7 days a week

(8 days a week for Beatles fans)

Surprised  ?/

Not really. I’ve been trying to temper my enthusiasm, given past disasters, but I’ve been fine with them keeping him around. I think they have been using him in the right spot — down, but still in the game — when you don’t want to use the highest-leverage guys.

SSS, but now at 1.69 with a 0.94 WHIP.

The tide has really turned when these are the things that bother us during a yankees series 😉

The kind of win that good teams have a handful of during a season…and bad teams almost never get. Behind early, on the road, opposition starter is a stud. I’d imagine this would be a good confidence-booster for the lads.

Kudos to Varland who actually pitched a hell of a game despite those dingers.

Concur. Very impressed with the stuff and poise.

Not that it matter but why all the changes at the end?

Pulling Garick

Put Gordon in.

Putting Larnach in.

Oddly, the talking heads are talking about players, including Yankees but Garlick is the odd man out.

Can’t say I disagree. But if they continue this, it’ll be the best cap in their history in my eyes.

I will have to watch the MLB channel tonight and see what they say; last night , it seemed to me as I watched them speak of multi games, the Twins win did not get much time.

Defense, I would assume. They removed Julien from 2B, Miranda from 3B and put Castro and Gordon in their more natural positions in the infield. Larnach pinch hitting for Garlick is a platoon switch.

The Twins don't garner much media attention.  I've seen articles a week old on Yahoo sports about minor stories, while the Twins don't even have a story filed.  Of course, Yahoo, is not a mega source for sports.

Watching the Jays-Rays game on the MLB channel, and they interrupted early on after the Yankees scored 2 in the first and made some sort of comment like the Twins took it to then last night and now the Yankees are taking it to the Twins tonight. I’m like, yeah, 2 homeruns on bad pitches is the same as hitting around the order for 9 runs, including back to back to back homeruns in the process.
