Why in the World Are the Twins Thinking of Trading Luis Arraez?

This seems like the rational decision but the price for Cabrera (or Luzardo, etc.) may be much higher by July. Both teams could likely benefit from a trade but the question of which players is a very difficult one for each club. My best guess is that a gamble now is the ticket for October but I'm just guessing like everyone else. I would say that Arraez is the only sure thing, which should mean his value is higher than any of the other players discussed.

I would prefer if Aaraez is moved, it is for the higher upside guys. I'm glad they turned down a 1 for 1 swap for Lopez. 

If we have a shot at either or both of Cabrera or Luzardo, then I am fine with giving him + ALMOST whatever it takes, up.(No Lewis or Miranda)

I'm just thankful the Twins are thinking ahead as to how they can give up talent for another average, injured starter.  Maybe mediocre's a better word.

I would go that far.  Lopez is a #3 starter and if the Twins could do a 1 for 1 swap like Kepler for Lopez I would do it in a heartbeat.  But i wouldn't give up Arraez for Lopez straight up, not considering he's got only 2 years left on his deal.
