The sad part of all this is that Bundy is going to come out for the 2nd.

The only way for a pitcher to respond to this type of offensive outburst is to shut the opponent down the following inning. Giving back the lead after an inning like this is simply not an option.

The Twins hit 3 homers in 8 pitches, which is obviously great, but maybe just as important is getting Cole to 34 pitches in the first inning.

This is exactly what the Twins needed to do. Cole has 32 pitches coming out of the first. We started the game with a statement, now we need Bundy to go back out and shut the door, without giving up offensive pressure.
