Game Thread: Twins vs. Seattle, 4/10/21 @ 1:10pm

So far this season, Colome has either given up the lead or lost the tie in the 8th or 9th inning in 25% of the games the Twins have played.

On tv they showed his Stats and they all looked good, its getting to be like the MAIN  NEWS all Propaganda, Fake real stats !!

3 out of 8 Twins games have now into Clown Extras. And ... wow, someone gets it, bunt, game nearly over already. And we didn't get the guy on first. Really, nobody has figured out a strategy for the Clownstras.

 

And MLB must know that the average extra inning game historically went 11 innings.

That debacle on opening day when he gave up 3 runs in the 9th...... none were counted as earned BECAUSE OF HIS THROW/ERROR! I wouldn't call it like main news, though.

Polanco on second, down by one. Do we bunt him to third? Bunt him home? A reinvention of small ball? Take 3 hacks at it, hoping someone singles? Bunt once, then hack twice? Also, pinch runner for one-dimensional Cruz in the 8th means he's now out of the lineup. At least Buxton will bat!

No. The runner who starts on second, however he scores, is an scored as an unearned run in this messed up extra innings play.

Yes, I get that too. Just makes me think game after game it's the same PR situation, so how nice it would be to have a DH who could run and play and field too. Love Cruz, but game management surely suffers late.

Baldelli didn't do one thing to try to advance the runner from just letting the guys hit. The Mariners play small ball, and get the run. The only losses are from this asinine extra inning rule, and a Manager that can't manage to try anything creative or different.
