He was the face of the team in some tough years.  One of the few guys they had that was adifference maker.  Guy had a heck of a career when he looks back.  He was and All-Star and won a World Series he hit a ton of home runs.  He really got to experience everything baseball has to offer and come out a winner.  He was great in Minnesota and great for Minnesota I wish him well.

I wish Brian Dozier the best.  One of my favorite Twins all-time, but he unfortunately had his peak in mostly down years.  His playoff lead-off HR off Severino, his All-Star HR off Melancon and his 3-run HR off Soria in that crazy comeback against Detroit after he lost the final vote were some top moments for me.

Every single Twins game I ever attended when Dozier was with the Twins, he hit a HR.

 

As you might have guessed, they were all to Left Field.

Dozier was a cornerstone of the Twins turnaround. I look forward to a retirement ceremony at TF some time this year.

That is a good question?  It would be interesting.  I like Brian but he was a career .240 hitter with just over 1,000 career hits.  The Twins have some very good ballplayers in their Hall of Fame.  I don't want to say he'd be watering down the Hall of Fame...But Christian Guzman almost had that many hits in a Twins uniform and he isn't getting anywhere near the Twins Hall of Fame!

But Dozier surpassed that elusive 40 HR mark and was the face of the franchise for a period. I'll re-ignite this conversation in the new thread.
