Listening to radio broadcast while at target field

Hey everyone! I will be traveling to the cities next week to attend the friday and Saturday games against the tribe. I was thinking about bringing my pocket am/fm radio along to listening to the broadcast during the game.

Does anyone know if this is allowed at target field.

Is there a large delay between real time action and the broadcast?

How about us bank? Will be going to the Sunday vikes game.

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah I found one on amazon figured it would be worth the $20.

I guess it makes sense they'd still make them. During emergencies I guess they'd still be good to have.

Nothing wrong with a pocket radio, they come in handy a lot and for the Twins games awesome! And yes they are ok for Target Field.

And there is no delay.

The frequency is posted on the big board from time to time. I think it might be at the low end, like 88.3, but I've never actually done it. I will confirm a special effort by a few die-hards went into making it in live sync.

They really offer a radio broadcast inside the stadium? I assumed one would have to tune in to WCCO.

They do offer assistive listening devices:

Absolutely they do. I assume it might be the same broadcast that is playing on the speakers in the bathrooms, but am not sure. Keep in mind the WCCO broadcast is really delayed so it is way out sync to listen to if you are watching the action live.

if you're keeping score, be prepared to have to buy the entire media guide and bring your own golf pencils.

Go to twinsbaseball.com/entry for full details. That being said, didn't see radios as one of the banned items listed on the website or the FAQs in the Ballpark app. My question is why not just download an app on your phone so you don't have to worry about it. Also, why do you want to listen to the game on radio. There is plenty happening at the ballpark to keep you engaged. I hope you mean you will listen through headphones. If some person was playing the radio broadcast out loud at Target Field, I would be utterly annoyed and ask them to turn it off. Why not just follow on your phone at mlb.com/scores?

If you’re scoring at home...

...or even if you’re alone.

I think it's kind of cool. I used to see people do this all the time in the 'olden days.' For one thing, it's nice to hear a different perspective of the game you are seeing live, and if something happens during the game, i.e. a player comes out, or there's an injury on the field, or whatever, you have a source for information that you wouldn't have sitting in the stands. Even the mlb app doesn't have the details for everything.

Yeah, I remember bringing a radio into the Dome when I had Vikings season tickets to stay up to date on the Twins score or whatever and not have to wait for them to put it on the scoreboard. There's just so many modern and other ways to get the information now 20+ years later. If he really needs to hear Gladden and Provous while at the park, wear headphones as it would personally annoy me. Maybe as I creep closer to 50 I am showing more grumpy old man tendencies.

Oh, I'm sure it has an earpiece. the old transistor radios had them ... not unlike earbuds of today. And I was referring to the OLDEN days ... like back at old Met Stadium, olden days. :)

Lol yes of course I will have a ear bud in. I think it maybe more helpful during the vikes game. Gain clarification on challenges updates on injuries etc. Thought about getting the app to listen on my phone. $20 for the rest of the season or $20 for a radio I can reuse for future games.

I actually checked out Amazon after you mentioned all this for a radio. Lol. But the app/phone combo is better for me because I’m out of market. I actually listen to games at work.
