Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2019 Author Posted July 4, 2019 Sano’s defense is pretty great these days.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2019 Author Posted July 4, 2019 What’s everyone doing for the 4th?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2019 Author Posted July 4, 2019 Wooo ,., great pick off ... possibly ...

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Before I duck out and let the weeds grow around here. It's July 4th. The Twins are 54-31. Leading 1-0 in the 2nd inning with Berrios on the mound. Consider that context and read page two of this game thread. If you read page two of this game thread, you'd guess that we were 31-54 and down by 6. Does anyone else see the problem with the game threads. Happy 4th to all.

TwinsCD Verified Member Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 C'mon Boomstick, just because you're playing on Rickey Henderson Field doesn't mean you have to start emulating him!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2019 Author Posted July 4, 2019 Cruz...what the hell are you doingI’d say it was a standard pick off

It's nice and all but unlike Single-A ball, they don't give out playoff berths for winning the first half. Isn't the point of the game threads anyway to not only make charitable guffaws at the Chief's jokes along with making comments on the game itself?
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 This guy had over a 7 ERA coming into the game...
LA_NorthStar Verified Member Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 It's time to play, "How LOW can Schoop's WPA GO?!?!?"
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 This guy had over a 7 ERA coming into the game... He's still pitching like it but he's had the luxury of facing the Twins worst hitter in the last month with guys in RISP or high-leverage average or whatever the brainiacs are calling it nowadays in 2 of the first 3 innings.

Isn't the point of the game threads anyway to not only make charitable guffaws at the Chief's jokes along with making comments on the game itself? It’s more making uncharitable guffaws at Chief jokes and commenting on the game. I think Brian was referring to getting to the 2Nd page when the game is barely underway and seeing several comments about Schoop ... that we’ve seen and heard ... but whatever. It’s died down. It’s just not something that needs to be overly belabored.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Again Schoop did absolutely nothing when RISP.

It's a team effort. Lefties have been hitting over .300 and Kepler and Polanco have had bad at bats.

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Buxton would have caught that one. Oh wait ...
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 6 hit 1 BB in 3 innings only 1 run because of the error to show for it. Thanks to Schoop.

You don’t get to player hate on these game threads. Enough already. We get it. We get it over and over again just what you think of Schoop. You’ve made it clear, now move on.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2019 Author Posted July 4, 2019 Okay, Berrios ... get this one, too!

That’s probably the logic of why he was tried in the OF. I don't know. His past few games his defense has been pretty good. The range doesn't look bad at all, but I guess the only way this place will ever accept him is if he hits .350 with 40 homeruns and commits 0 errors.
