tvagle Verified Member Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 As the northwest wind blows the snow into wispy, white snakes and dunes across the roads and fields of NW Minnesota I offer up a new sponsor for this off-season for Twins Fans: Cold Stove Creamery Much like the original Cold Stone Creamery® the folks at Cold Stove take an all to infrequent schoop from a tantalizing bucket of potential goodness and plop it on top of a cold, flat season of unfulfilled promise and then attempt to make it good for us fans by adding analytical toppings to the extreme in hope we will keep coming back for more. While momentarily both delicious and intriguing, both companies leave a person with the same: Thoughts... - this second baseman is fine...I should have added a schoop of SS as well- those peripherals sure made this look like a great deal...next time I'll sprinkle in a few more K/9- putting a #1 SP on top of this would have made it amazing- was this the time I should have splurged on "Gotta Have It" instead of settling for "I Like It" all the time Results... - Initial excitement over what appears to be a fantastic, new flavor we've never tried before- slight euphoria (depending on the Like It, Love It, Gotta Have It level) over how this will make us better- endless debate over making the correct choice- complaints from the young, and sometimes not-so-young, about buying too much (hasn't happened in my lifetime) or too little- an empty bowl of hope and the knowledge that we can do this all again next time we wander past the Cold Stove Creamery While initially pleasing to the eye and tasting delicious to the high-end ice cream deprived fans of the Minnesota Twins...both Cold Stone and the Cold Stove continue to provide Twins fans with hope for an amazing experience but in the end we end up with empty calories, at a premium per seat cost For those who find it totally outrageous to spend above market price on ice cream, you can head on over to Minor's Market and try some of the new Organic flavors You will have to wait an extremely long time for them to develop and there's no guarantee they will even be edible...but occasionally one or two will turn out fantastic!
tvagle Verified Member Posted December 22, 2018 Author Posted December 22, 2018 Forgot to post the inspiration for this...which now has little bearing on the OP....but sums up the disappointment in the Twins Cold Stove This is the feverish activity BEFORE the Holidays The Twins should take the advice of Shell in the add at the bottom!
