He said he thinks the Twins are closer to bouncing back, then most fans are thinking at this time.

Sounds interested in Escobar and Mauers future plans. Also they are committed to Sano and Buxtons' future.

Asked about Sano's struggles with weight, said Sano going down was a good wake up call to Sano. And Sano and Twins are happy with the change.

Levine said the two Houston players could make an impact very soon.

Twins have not asked Mauer about moving to another team. Plan to sit down in August to discuss with many of those signed for next year, to discuss future.

Asked about Machoto (sp.?) and Harper, no real answer, danced around it.

Probably a good thing as he would've violated MLB's tampering rules had he discussed signing them

He mentioned how some of those that have been traded, were real happy here. He mentioned Escobar in that conversation.

Hosts asked him to cough twice if, talks happened. Levine said how about I blink twice? He was on a phone and hosts said "we can't see that" and all laughed. It was a good 15 minutes of talking.

Right. Also doesn’t want to get the fan base (well, me) upset too soon

I’m still sad about Escobar. I don’t think I’ve ever been this sad over a trade. Yeah, it was the right thing to do but that guy’s pure love of the game, the smiles, the joy in what he does in any role he was given, ready to go, is always the teammate you want to have. He’s not going to be the ‘superstar’ but his kind is always vital to a team, imo

I have hope he will come back next year, about all the hope I have for this season.

Carew and Blyleven were the two that I found the most depressing over the years though I really appreciate what Escobar brings to a ball club. Considering Tovar became a full time starter, perhaps my favorite utility player in Twins history off the top of my forgetful head.
