If tonight's game is close things could get interesting. I wouldn't expect Duke or Rodney to be available to pitch for a third-consecutive game. It also seems to me like it'd be for the best to give Hildy a break if possible. Reed was outstanding yesterday, but he's still recovering from strep throat.

I have no problem with Molitor leaning on his top guys to get through the Houston series instead of trying to save bullets for the White Sox, but here's hoping Jose Berrios has a nice start.

While I believe Molitor leaning on his best bullpen arms so frequently is probably his biggest flaw as a manager, it's hard to get down on him for going that route in the Houston series. It was a good time and place to make a statement about the 2018 Twins, both to the opposition and the team itself.

And really, it's the White Sox and you just need to get through one game against them. After tonight, most of the good relievers will be available again tomorrow and it's unlikely the Twins play at all on Saturday.

This was Gibson pitching against one of the best teams in baseball. Yes, it was disappointing he didn't make it through the 5th, but, these things happen.

And, the starter for one of the best teams in baseball got knocked around pretty good.

I'd say Gibson has done okay so far.

I still remain cautiously optimistic about Mr. Gibson.

Kyle Gibson's Game Scores so far: 73, 45, 29.

There's a reason I'm in "prove it" mode on Kyle Gibson this year. Right now he's in his old pattern of a really nice start followed by two not-so nice starts and that's just not good enough any longer.

On the bright side, we have real depth for a change and once Santana is back Gibson could be on the bubble to get replaced Romero/Gonsalves/Slegers/etc. Gibson as a #5 is a lot easier to stomach.

YOu know what?  I told some of my friends that Gibson may very well turn in a season like Carl Pavano did in 2010.  One of those out of the blue seasons a pitcher has during his career where things click.  I almost regret saying that already.

Gibson looks like one of those guys who simply cannot visualize success.  Give him an 8-1 lead and he just goes stage five mental.  He had a win handed to him in a bow and he couldn't manage the game.  Very VERY disappointing outing.  I know it is early, but as I was going home from work and heard the lead dwindle it sounded like the same old song I have heard a hundred times with this guy,  How can you have faith him?  I tried to.  He just won't let me
