TRADE ALERT

Hosken Bombo Disco and Ben Noble have agreed to a trade in principle, pending physicals. Disco will receive day one draft pick pitcher Tyler Wells and Noble will receive catcher David Banuelos, a second day pick, in a straight swap of prospects. Cash considerations were also part of the deal.

UPDATE: Per sources, the two sides considered cash and, at the end of the day, decided that cash does in fact rule everything around me, cream get the money, dollar dollar bills you all.

UPDATE: As expected, both Noble and Disco failed their respective physicals and the trade has been finalized.

Not being a Wu-Tang guy particularly, I depends upon you guys to keep me a little culturally literate, even at this late date. :)

Per Draft Rules, I believe this still leaves Ben Noble with the ability to make another pick today....

To be honest though, I was really hoping that this somehow turned into a 3 way trade as a straight swap has a lot less intrigue. Could have at least had "and a prospect to be determined later" caveat.

Finally, I must inform you that Kevin Lawless is giving Hosken Bombo Disco the win in this trade. He tells me  "Ben Noble obviously should have held out for more in the trade negotiations."

I'm using the Twins 2016 Rule 5 Draft strategy, so decided to trade down for no apparent reason. I call this strategy Wild Card and I'm sticking to it. You can't really judge most trades until like five years later anyways.

I'd totally be open to trading down again or being part of an additional multi-team trade.

So is this the Minnesota Twins 2016 Rule 5 Draft Strategy or the Cleveland Browns Every Single Year Strategy?

I thought the Browns' strategy was "draft bad players with behavioral issues."  The Twins have definitely experimented with that in the past.

If the list is up-to-date, I will take Gabriel Moya, please.

It is, and he's yours! :)

This sounds like it could be fun. I will draft Lachlan Wells.

He's yours. If you want to get a sense of how others set up their prospect pages, just peruse the forum. Even though previous years pages are locked, you can still access them to read and poke around.

Welcome aboard!

Also, drafting a sure-miss QB with a top pick every 4 or 5 years

Well shoot, I'll do another one.  If the list is up to date, I'll take Zack Littell.  Round out my trio with Wander Javier and Enlow

With only a few left to go ... any thoughts from everyone about releasing the next round early? And would you rather the rest be in a ranked order, or alphabetical? And would you rather it be everyone left or the next 50 or so? We made a good start but there are miles left to go ... and miles to go before I sleep ... er, okay, my mind wandered a bit ... baseball ... next round early? Thoughts and ideas?

I'm late to the party! Anyone left?

Yes!

Take a look a time the original post. remaining in this round; any prospect that doesn’t have an ‘adopted by ...’ after it is still available. Further ... this is just the first round. There will be more prospects for drafting in a few days!

I'd say go ahead and release it early.

Also, did anyone else read a blog in the past couple months listing Rainis Silva as the No. 2 prospect in the Twins System? I cannot find that series of rankings anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction?
