gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 Anyone watching this show? We just finished the first season on netflix and really, really liked it.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 I watched it for a bit last year and liked it, but as it is with most tv ... I miss some episodes then never catch up and then I just give up.

I ran across it just this week via On-Demand, which has only season 2. I'm enjoying it. The actress who plays Janet, D'Arcy Carden, is a real find.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 I'm up to date on this show and like it. I've always been a fan of Kristen Bell and Ted Danson... Don't know how long this show can last, but so far so good.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 I'm going to have to go back to season 1 and catch up. As I said, I started watching it last year and liked it ... just other stuff got in the way and I lost track. And if you are looking for another sitcom type show, Life in Pieces is well done and pretty funny, imo. Worth binge watching.

It got a lot better as the season went on.
ashbury Verified Member Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 It got a lot better as the season went on. Interesting. I gave up on it, early on. It came across to me as CBS saying, "make one of those ABC comedies for us, kthanx."
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 My wife loved it, I thought it was decent. I struggle with most network TV stuff nowadays unless it's stellar like Parks & Rec.

I struggle with most network TV stuff nowadays unless it's stellar like Parks & Rec.I am almost completely off network TV. My guilty pleasure is The Blacklist (because of how James Spader is in it) but other than that, I avoid network TV unless it's something my daughter wants to watch (like Big Bang Theory) which I couldn't care less about, but it's about snuggling with her and watching something she likes.

Historically they've not only had some of my all time favorites, but they also haven't been afraid to go outside the box. I just started this show and it seems promising but working backwards, Community, Parks and Rec, The Office and Seinfeld were all more daring endeavors than networks typically take a chance on.
