Best Game/Moment of the Regular Season

Assuming today's game isn't the second coming of Game 7 (and if Bartolo hurls ten shutout innings, oh boy) what has been the best or most memorable game of the 2017 regular season?

The back-to-back walkoffs and the Dozier home run in Cleveland were great but I think the best and most exciting game may have been a game we lost. It was the day after the Twins scored 17 against KC when the blown call on the check swing cost the Twins the game and Cain proceeded to hit a lead taking triple.

So many games, so many moments. But the one that keeps sticking with me was the Seattle game when the Twins were up big and Gibson kept pitching poorly. Molitor went to the mound and politely but publicly chewed his butt. Shortly thereafter is when we saw the change in Gibson that lead to a different approach and attitude.

There are so many, and Im sure I cant remember a lot of them, but I think Opening Day.

We won! It guaranteed a better start to the season than 2016. We looked like we were a legitimate major league team. And it gave me a little bit of hope that this year could be fun (and it was a fun season).

For me it was the game at Detroit in August where the Twins young OF exploded offensively and defensively and the highlight of that night was Kepler running back to the wall to make a leaping catch and then a relay throw to third to nail the poor Detroit baserunner.

The weekend sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Just a few weeks after the FO traded away their new starter and All-Star Closer, and the Twins needed to prove they belonged in the Playoff picture (after dropping 2 of 3 to Cleveland at home) against one of the NL's hottest teams. And the Twins dominated. A 10-3 win on Friday (six homers); 5-0 win on Saturday (Twins chased Zack Greinke after just four innings); and a huge 12-5 win on Sunday (which included a 9-run first inning.) Of course, it helps that I was at all three games that weekend, too.

The Diamondbacks also took that sweep and turned it up following that, winning 9 of 10 to finish August strong (including three game sweeps of the Giants and then the Dodgers.)

It always helps make it memorable when you were at the game.

July 7 the Twins were playing Baltimore at home. I was standing behind straight-away center field along with many others. In the 8th inning Buxton was on first when Dozier hit a hard grounder that got past the SS. I watched Buxton.

It was a single. Buxton scored.

Amazing. That was my favorite moment.
