Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 The Yankees pen might be the best in the postseason.Yep, that's what we can't afford to fall too far behind. They apparently have a quick hook with Garcia so if we decide to start hitting him, they won't hesitate to yank him
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 The Yankees pen might be the best in the postseason.Severino is also pitching like a cy young candidate these days.Tanaka is no slouch. CC seems to come up clutch when needed
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Yanks have the bats, the pen and the front of the rotation to give them a punchers chance IMO. Front rotation? A rookie and a guy with forearm issues with a plus 4.70 era? These guys don't hit outside of Yankee Stadium. They have only won two series against the Red Sox and split a series with the Indians. Indians are the team to beat... I'll give you Gray and their bullpen... but their lineup is a product of Yankee stadium. But you know... that's like only your opinion, man.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Yeah... That pretty much sums it up. And only 36 pitches thrown by Garcia after 3. And 7 Ks. How can that even happen? And Santana is going to have around 60 pitches after 3 if he is lucky.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Ok time to jump all over mannequin face Garcia
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 I know everybody's super busy bitching and moaning about who the Twins did or didn't trade but Santana is gutting out a decent game. Other than Judge's homer, most of the baserunners have been bad luck.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Verlander now 3-0 for Houston with a .86 ERA. Glad we didn't pursue that "decline phase" loser. The Astros paid a pretty penny but they are a lot closer the Twins winning it all.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Can the boys put together some quality at bats?

Severino, Gray, Tanaka or whoever is hot? That's a pretty damn good rotation. Yes the Yankees are near unbeatable at home, which means they only need to figure out to win one on the road, right? One of the hottest teams in baseball to boot and an epic bullpen. No chance. Clearly!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Wear that, joe. FattCrapps and USAFChief 2

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 I do love the: Twins pitcher strikes out a guy: "great pitch!"Garcia strikes out a guy: "not a great pitch! The Twins are just swinging poorly!" Going on. It's perfectly ok to accept that from time to time the Twins make stupid misguided Trades. I spot 2 on the Yankees 40 man roster as we speak!
Darius Verified Member Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Fitting that the best start of his career will come against us tonight.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2017 Author Posted September 19, 2017 Is it possible that while Garcia was with the Twins... He was scouting us and better at it than we are,

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 9 Ks in 4 innings. Beware the dreaded double digit run total from the previous game
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 On pace to at least tie the MLB record.

DFA Rosario!

Clearly! Tanaka has a 4.73 ERA. Severino has pitched less than 40 games in the majors. Their lineup is not that deep. Bullpen is really good. But they do not even come close to posting the lineup of the Astros or the Indians. Cleveland has a better starting rotation and just as good of a bullpen. I stand by my assertion that the Yanks have no chance to get to the World Series... agree to disagree I guess.
