I'm sure Molitor and the front office pitching gurus know this - but maybe not :(

I'm sure they know it. But it kinda defies conventional wisdom. I know he's not an extreme sidearmer like Tekulve, Eichhorn or Frohwirth, but those guys all killed RHB.

I wonder if Ervin leads the league in leads lost by the bullpen. We would have about 20 wins if the bullpen had closed out all the leads he left them.

Wow. Really didn't think that bases loaded screw up would matter, as the Padres have checked out.

We don't deserve to make the playoffs if we drop games like this one.

 

I seem to remember that you have already claimed many times, that we won't.  Already. Is this your veiled attempt at hope?

You mean after then dropped 4 of 5 and were down to about 20% not long ago. Yeah, statistically, it wasn't real likely they were making the playoffs then.

 

Why is blind homerism the only accepted form of game thread banter?

All I know is the closer we get to the end, the more excruciating these games are gonna get. Every at bat becomes huge.
