Doomtints Verified Member Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Release. Can we agree on release, now? Release won't be necessary. I would bet he knows he is out of gas and will retire.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 I've got an extension to offer. It involves extending the intermediate and distal phalanges from the third metacarpal. Unless your joint is broken, the proximal has to be extended as well...
Doomtints Verified Member Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 I don't know why you would give him the finger. Flip off the people who signed him if you think there was a better option somewhere.
mikelink45 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 NO. Nice story - move on. Are we so desparate for pitching that mediocre results get us excited? He has had a few good games, some terrible and some just poor. We need better next year.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Sadly, he's still been better than the guys they were running out before we got him. Personally, I'd put Gonsalves in that spot, but they don't seem inclined to do that, so I'm not sure there is a better option.

I'd give him his last couple starts, but Molitor has to have the sense to remove him at the first sign of any hint of trouble, and he absolutely cannot be sent out to face a batting order the 3rd time, no matter how well things seem to be going. And NO to next year. Geez.
Doomtints Verified Member Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 The OP was written based on a small sample size, as are a lot of threads and comments. We should weigh these threads appropriately.

We should weigh these threads appropriately. or, we looked at the entire year of outcomes, not just a handful in MN......and also looked at his age, and aging curves....so, no, not SSS. Not even slightly true.

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 Fixed. you are saying that looking at aging curves is SSS? That looking at his body of work over the course of more than the handful of starts for the Twins is SSS? huh. ok.
