Jerr Verified Member Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 I just realized I did not see Jim Thome anywhere on the World Series coverage...any one know why not? Or did I miss him?

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 He now works for the White Sox.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 He now works for the White Sox. Which makes it hard to say, but they were pretty classy letting Thome throw on a rival AL Central team's jersey on national TV.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 I believe they had a shot of him sitting with Mike Hargrove as well. I don't recall which game though.

It's not like Thome is the face of the White Sox or in a very public role there. Plus, he's in Cleveland's HoF. Also, Thome's from here. I'm sure the Sox offering him a position when he retired was in part knowing that his home is here.
