Dinkelman is a coach in the Twins minors.

 

So it's still OK to disparage him?

Hmmm....   not sure I like taking out Santiago with a shutout and only 3 hits allowed.

And prior to that they're talking about how we need to improve the defense. Yeah, sure, but an outfield of 3 Byron Buxtons and Andrelton Simmons at every infield position and our pitching is still bottom 3 in the league.

I read today that Ventura will be replaced in the Sox dugout next year, by Rick Renteria.  Good move for the Sox.

 

Hopefully, Paulie won't be able to manage much next year, either, but somebody else will.  Long time fave player, last couple of years, least fave manager.

with the way Chargois is pitching now, what are the odds of Tonkin coming back?

He got jerked around a lot the last couple of years, and that didn't help.  But he had a heck of a good shot this year, and didn't come through as well as he needed to.  I'm thinking not.  Gosh, I love the guy's stuff, and take full credit for inventing a gnarly nickname for him- but I'm thinking he's probably gone.

I am late to the party, but it looks like the plan to hit the ball over the fence with sound pitching and excellent defense is working just as planned. Very glad to see that things are finally falling into place! :)

Why is Kintzler in?  Aren't there any young pitchers that need some MLB experience?

Hopefully it so they can see how he handles the type of leverage situations he is expected to handle next year. :)
