1. Target – Sometimes when I’m bored… I like to go to Target wearing a Red polo shirt and then stand in the center of the store. Shoppers will come up to you and ask for directions. When that happens… I simply point in a random direction. Occasionally I’m right.

When you're done with that, drive over to Best Buy and put on a blue polo! 

You'd probably be most helpful "employee" in the store.  At Target, you'd be the only one.

I would love to see a reporter after the game ask this question to Molitor:  What made you decide to bat Shafer 5th?  What was your thought process?

 

Enlighten the idiots that have watched over 100 games on TV this year...Especially the TD crowd.

Did you guys know the game is already in the 5th inning, Twins are up 3-2, Grossman is 1 for 1 with 2 walks, and Escobar is 2 for 2 with a HR and has scored two of the three Twins runs?  Looking at this thread, you wouldn't even know the game had started yet.

Late to the thread. Starting catcher is a bad receiver, whose chance to return to the team next year is entirely based on factors outside his control, for the most important pitching growth stock in the organization? Is there a strategy in player selection that has a horizon longer than the fifth inning?

The only thing I can think with all these mystifying line-ups is that Molitor is trying to put up as much evidence as possible that failure this year was due to his being handed a horrible set of players. Therefore, instead of using this time to start building for next year, he's using it to establish that this year wasn't his fault - even after his owner buddy promised he'd keep his job.
