LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 More than enough motivation to keep the cynicism tank plenty full. And if not, don't worry. I brought enough to share. http://1.darkroom.shortlist.com/980/2ab7568044912be44eef4fe8703a983a:4f06aa40e2e447a428f1bab09be803a0/frd-25175.jpg
jud6312 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Polanco: he can stay. I'm pretty sure of that.Only if he's willing to share reps ... the Beresford is in town now. This infield ain't big enough for the both of them.

ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 With Gardenhire moving on, we were deprived of a potential bench stalwart and fan favorite in Toby Gardenhire. Perhaps with James carrying on in his spirit, the Twins faithful can at long last begin their journey of healing.I don't know if you know it before, but time flies. Toby Gardenhire is going to be 34 on Sunday.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Are all y'all at the game? There sounds like a lot of whooping it up through the TV mikes.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 A lot of sourness (nicest way to put it) on this game thread so I will wish y'all a good night and say.... GO TWINS! http://img08.deviantart.net/827d/i/2011/229/2/7/please_come_back____by_the_denied-d46vcmz.jpg No, wait, we'll be good! Watch! "Beresford looks like an Aussie Chip Hale!". "Rosario's plate discipline is really coming along!". "I'm bettin' Gibby goes nine tonight!" "I think I just saw a trace of movement on Light's fastball!" See? We just needed time to get warmed up.
jud6312 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Oh, well, that video of the family Beresford hugging it out TOTALLY makes up for 100 losses and an undeserved call-up.
Platoon Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 The Sano AB must be one of the more bizzare I have seen.

Tovar12 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 This is typically the time in the Twin's game when my NetFlix trigger finger gets itchy. Narcos season 2 is out.........
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 How the heck do you get that into your garage??No go. Have to park it on the street. That might explain why the neighbors haven't spoken to me since Ought Four. On the plus side no law enforcement has yet had the courage to pull me over for driving solo in the car pool lane.

Aww c'mon. It's kind of cool. I would much rather see him get his reward, than waste time on seriously evaluating Shaefer and RB. There's nothing lost here, and he isn't the reason anyone else wasn't called up.

Barbecuing Beresford's adoptive koala bear parents might be overshooting the mark. Or not. I'm too cynical to care.

I would much rather see him get his reward, than waste time on seriously evaluating Shaefer and RB. There's nothing lost here, and he isn't the reason anyone else wasn't called up.He's probably the nicest guy in the world - in your face, Albers - but that doesn't mean I want to see him get rewarded for being an average (at best) hitter for the past decade. He doesn't produce runs, he doesn't walk much, he doesn't steal bases and he strikes out too much considering he doesn't do any of those other things. So, what exactly does he do? Aside from sign his minor league tender after venturing out into the world only to find the grass of his MLB future is even a darker shade of brown outside of the Twins organization. If promotions and MLB playing time are being handed out for being BFFs with Dozier, for a decade of mediocrity and being a super nice guy, this organization is screwed for years to come.
jud6312 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Is that like the proverbial Participation Trophy? Nope, that's a September call-up and having Brian lead you into a surprise visit from your parents. Orange slices to the left.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Gibson already at 73 pitches, 44 strikes.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 does it have to be specifically in that order? There's little enough suspense at Twins games as it is.Gibson imploding before the bullpen is all but non- negotiable, but the bench is a threat to disappoint in any late inning.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Ah, well. Gibby gives up the lead. Script seems to be playing along nicely. But wait-- up comes Robbie G, Esco, and Weapon X- a veritable "Murderee's Row." What could happen next?
