For me personally, I want to dedicate this victory to one of my greatest friends -  Dougie. He died yesterday after a brave battle against cancer. He was only 40 years old.

 

Since junior high we have been as thick as thieves. Along with my wife, he was a soul mate to me.

 

It is devastating to see him go, but my best Twins memory with him was when Denard Span hit that triple against White Sox in September of 2008. It was a charged environment and we went nuts… out of our mind nuts. That is a memory I will always cherish.

 

I love you Doug and although I am a non believer in faith, I hope you find your place in the stars. That would be the best!
