Man chief you clearly have something against Meyer.
We have a lot of young players getting their feet wet and I don't remember you being this hard on any of the other ones struggles.

I have something against blaming Molitor.

And I don't particularly like Molitor.

EDIT:  And I'm pi$$ed off that a season that I had been looking forward to, appears to be in serious jeopardy before May 1st, so perhaps I'm not viewing things totally objectively.

I'm wondering if I'd be this irritated if the Twins wouldn't have brought up Kepler, let him hang around for a bit, then sent him down without really playing him.

Am I off base in wondering if this team and organization is completely out of whack?

I have never said this about the Twins before. I've heard other people say it before and I pretty much rolled my eyes.

But Yeah... Right now... in my opinion... they are out of whack.

It looks like a communication breakdown... difference of opinion... maybe even a battle of wills.

I think Baseball is a funny game and anything can happen from day to day.

That's why the other single on the 45 was 'Good Times   Bad Times'...

And maybe some ' Dazed and Confused'   thrown in for good measure.

**** Molitor. The guy is a joke! The only things he does good are chew gum like he's sniffing lines again and gleeking.

I seriously hate this Organization right now. They robbed us for that stadium and they still penny pinch. They need to fire Ryan immediately. Enough of this country club we have jobs as long as we want. The Pohlads should do us all a favor and sell the team!!!

You had me at ****

Or, he put Meyer back out there to have a chance to pitch a clean inning, with the "nerves" relaxed a bit, and rebuild a little confidence.

The excuse making for Meyer is...excuse making.  You want to be a big league pitcher?  Perform like one.  It ain't Molitor's fault.

I'd bet it was a pitch count with Tuesday a consideration.

Really? Because proven veteran pitchers often need a start or two to get back in a groove after that much time between starts. But if it's true with a prospect he will never be a mlb pitcher?

I think Phil Hughes stunk tonight to.

But you gotta admit... Meyer was WAYYYYYYY OFF... I Mean WAYYYYYY Off.

Hey, Molitor had his one year honeymoon! Bring on the pitchforks!

Ok,   but you have to promise not to take the corks off the    'forks   until after the fishing opener.    I don't want to miss a minute of this uprising.

Well I can't speak for everyone but I blame Terry, not Mollie. He should know how the manager is going to use players before he calls them up.

Though, I suspect that's a distinction without a difference to you.

I'm sorry, Meyer is not a typical pitcher. He's going to have a tough time repeating his delivery with his frame.

They knew that when they traded for him. Something was working in AAA.

Sure, plenty of guys can be ready anytime, 1 day or 20 days.

Meyer is never going to be that guy. That doesn't mean he can't be a mlb pitcher.

Yeah he sure was.

But, and I know this wasn't his debut, but do you remember May's debut last year?

I mean yikes, that was brutal. Glad we didn't give up on him then.

I don't think Terry has a cell phone.

Wrong!!!

Take that,    filthy hippies.    Here it is,   straight from the classified section of  Crabapple Aficionado magazine:

Terry: Ok Paul... Just relax a little... Calm down before you go talk to the press. Do you got a beer in the fridge?

Paul: A BEER... Do you think a beer is going to do it TERRY!!!

Terry: Ok... A 12 Pack... do you have a 12 pack in the fridge... Paul... I'm telling you... I was getting great reports out of Rochester... Thrylos says that he's even better than Berrios.

Paul: You still want me to throw him on Tuesday. Milone is going to be in my office tomorrow morning saying... "I'm out of the rotation for that"  what am I going to tell Tommy?

Terry: Tell him that Thrylos says he's looking sharp and needs a chance.

Paul: I swear to god... I'm going to throw this cell phone across the room... It's going to be loud... you will probably wonder what that was and I won't be anywhere near the phone to explain to you what it was.

Terry: Paul... you got to get out and talk to the press now... I need you to put this game behind you and get ready for tomorrow. It's Bomber Hat Day.

Fair enough.

I do think it means if he's an MLB pitcher, it's going to be as a reliever though. Short stints, regular work, reduced pitch mix, couple extra MPH.

With all due respect... It does mean that he can't be a MLB Pitcher.

He isn't the first guy to be 6-8... He's 26 and he's had enough time to get those mechanics down. If is hand has to be held to get those things down. His success isn't likely.

I don't want to give up on him... I'm going with nerves and If he gets a Tuesday start. I hope he shines.

That might very well be true, but I still hope he gets a legit shot as a starter first.

I know he's yet to show it yet at the MLB level, but he truly has the stuff to be a true ace.

Being that the Twins are never going to get one of those on the open market, and probably don't have another one in their system (Berrios being the closest, but still not as good pure stuff), they need to give him a real, 15 start at the mlb level shot.

I know that might be tough to stomach if he's not on, but at this point who cares, the season is LIKELY over.

I'll settle for mediocre with flashes of eptness.
