Game Thread: Angels vs Twins, 4/16 @ 1:10 CT

Fantastic pitch to get to 0-2, lazy one on 0-2 fouled off...really bad pitch on 0-2 for a base hit.

[Pardon My Dinger]

Yuge block.

[mikeee]

He "uncorked" his 100th pitch for an out.

[spinowner]

Who is this guy who started today and what has he done with Ricky Nolasco?

[USAFChief]

whew.

[Pardon My Dinger]

Omg ... I'm never going to watch Pride and Prejudice the same way again.

I think we've all heard that before.

[Bark's Lounge]

That should do it for Ricky Nabisco. No need to push our luck and break that cracker.

[Puckett34]

Well done Nolasco.  Solid day.  LETS GET SOME RUNS!

[USAFChief]

Nolasco:  redemption story?

Speaking of redemption stories, I had an uncle that was addicted to soap.

But he's been clean for 33 months now.

Say it ain't sano, mig.

[SwainZag]

Now be a great time for your 1st of the year Miguel

Target Field is one of the worst MLB stadiums for sun. It's almost exactly due east from home plate to straightaway center field, and in this day and age of late afternoon and early evening games it's very tough on outfielders. Ideally the line from home to center should be approximately north. The rules of baseball originally recommended a southeast direction from home to center field, but that was when games started at 1 PM and were over by 3:00 or 3:30 and the sun stayed well up down the right field foul line. That's also why left-handed pitchers came to be known as southpaws.

[Pardon My Dinger]

It's like the freaking Running Man for Rosario to be playing between those two.

[ScrapTheNickname]

I've missed the whole game. Can someone(s) recap it for me in a nutshell?

I thought we've been doing that already.

Weaver throws slow.
Nolasco excellent except 2nd inning.
Plouffe 3 hits, triple short of cycle.
Top 8th, tie game.

I sympathize for your uncle. Richard Mulligan and Billy Crystal can be quite addicting.

I'm glad I was so mean to Plouffe yesterday. I really got to him. Good for me.

No time to read what's been written. That's all in the past now.

[spinowner]

Cmon, pitch, make a mistake here.

[USAFChief]

I bought a terrible thesaurus yesterday.  Not only that, it's terrible.
