Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Not much is different from your experience in September of 1999, Bark. It was 85 degrees today in Austin... I was certainly sweaty, discombobulated, and NERVOUS as all get out. I'd like to think me being that way made it easier for her to have fun and enjoy the moment... We had some laughs and awkward moments. I went out of my comfort zone by dancing, and she was a great teacher!Van, that is great news. Go get her. Treat her like a rare diamond. She is the apple of your eye. How can you not? nicksaviking, Vanimal46 and Pardon My Dinger 3

Somethings just don't come across as well over the radio. Some may not remember that Joe Mauer was a star quarterback in high school. He was considered the best college prospect in the nation, but everybody knew he was committed to baseball. Mauer is a great athlete with a genuine golden arm. He also was an excellent HS pitcher. Probably could have been a pro pitcher, too. I'm really glad he appears to be finally getting past those nasty concussion symptoms. Let's hope we get to see some of the old Mauer magic at the plate this year. Early signs are very good - he appears to be recognizing pitches quicker and getting the bat to the ball with more precision. Dan Engebretson, wickedslider and David HK 3
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Call me old school, but 5 and a half hours together is a win for me on a first date... I've got something planned for her on Sunday! Hopefully it's going to be a good time. Given the results of today's game, I highly suggest you have something planned for tonight too... and well every other game on the schedule.
