Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Another day, another baseball game. What could be better than that? For those of you off work today, not sure if you will be able to watch or listen to the game as I don't see any availability for TV or radio; maybe the Rays will have a radio broadcast you can tune into. Well, or you could watch Gameday ... I think I'll opt for the concert at work today ... Not sure I want to see/listen to how many errors Nunez will make today at short, but maybe if I don't watch/listen, he'll be perfect ... But Sano is athletic! DiscGolfer drinks! Not so sunny today in Port Charlotte, but it's warm ... 80 deg, cloudy, 15% chance of rain, winds from the S at 9mph. TWINS:Buxton CFMauer 1BSano RFPlouffe 3BQuentin DHRosario LFNunez SSSuzuki CBeresford 2B Santana P RAYS:Forsythe 2BMiller SSLongoria 3BDickerson DHGuyer CFLoney 1BSouza RFMahtook LFCanali C Smyly P
Loosey Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I like Mauer batting 2nd and Sano batting 3rd. I hope that is a glympse into the future.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 G is for gameday. That's good enough for me...
big dog Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Those of you watching the thread noted that yesterday, I sent a heartfelt plea to Twins mgmt to quit playing Sweeney. I would like to thank them for listening. I also enjoyed saying ARCIA GO BOOM!!!! two times, and would appreciate another chance today, even though I don't deserve it.

big dog Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Must have worked! At least it didn't hurt, I'll settle for that.
DrNeau Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Plouffe's 3rd HR of the spring, and now has 10 RBIs.

It's not like they didn't already know they were going release him. Why give him at bats that could have been used on someone like Buxton or Sano (or even a guy with some sort of future with the team) who will have an impact on the team this year.
Loosey Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Was Buxton's lead off single well hit or just a bleeder?

But i prefer to think that it was a matter of Terry Ryan listening to bigdog.
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Plouffe's 3rd HR of the spring, and now has 10 RBIs.I predicted Plouffe hitting 30 HRs with 100 RBIs in the bold predictions thread. Just saying.
big dog Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Was Buxton's lead off single well hit or just a bleeder?Infield hit to Longoria.
big dog Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Rays announcers raving about a catch by Buxton. Apparently he was very shallow and made a catch on the deep warning track. Very tough catch made to look easy, according to them.
Loosey Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 But i prefer to think that it was a matter of Terry Ryan listening to bigdog.I think that is the most logical explanation.
sane16 Provisional Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 But i prefer to think that it was a matter of Terry Ryan listening to bigdog. It may have been the only way to get big dog to stop barking.
big dog Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 It may have been the only way to get big dog to stop barking. If only my family adopted that philosophy.
zenser Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Is it me or is there less radio broadcasts this year? I have bought MLB audio for years now and I don't remember a spring training with this few broadcasts. At least other I can listen via other teams broadcasts, but it seems like the Twins haven't had very many broadcasts.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Was Buxton's lead off single well hit or just a bleeder?yes.
Rezzy Provisional Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Plouffe just went yard for the second time today!
70charger Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Circus Boy update: 6 complete, 5-0 Twins. Santana has completed six innings with 8 Ks and only 3 hits given up. Opening day, here we come.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Plouffe just went yard for the second time today! Arcia did that recently too. Who's next?
70charger Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Arcia did that recently too.Who's next? I'm gonna guess Suzuki.
Rowsdower Provisional Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Arcia did that recently too.Who's next? Suzuki evidently
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Suzuki, apparently, is next. One might even say.. concurrent?
DrNeau Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Consecutive games where someone had 2 bombs. Love it.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Wow! Concurrency is the word for today, it would seem.
