anyone keeping an eye on the minors? Pat Dean has 6 no-hit innings for Ft. Myers currently.

Please keep us posted on this!

Not sure who Liriano thinks he is

He is someone who can strike out the side in the first inning, if he is allowed to have his favorite catcher.

I will never doubt the Latino Pitcher Whisperer again. We need to bring back Silva now.

I like this comment (assuming sarcasm on the Silva take haha)

The no-hit bid is no more after 6 1/3 no-hit innings.

Damn. Francisco is dealing.

His trade value should zoom if he can sustain this pace.

They need to rescue Trashcan Gabino from whatever beer league he's pitching in and let him know they found a cure.

but do you deal him?

There is zero reason not to unless you think it's a good idea to spend $12.5m on the guy in 2013.

Given his track record, that's not a good idea. There's too big a risk in trusting Francisco to string together consecutive above-average seasons.

No. You extend him.

With the track record I agree. but are we not looking for an ace for the staff? it is possible we already have one on our roster.... possible. He's not pitching over his potential today. This is his potential this is what he can and should be. I think it's dicey to let him go and try to sign an ace from somewhere else. but yes, his trade value is high and he does have a bad track record.

I agree, but if they do trade him, they might get something really good if he can keep pitching like he is pitching tonight.

Liriano is the closest to an ace that the Twins may have in the foreseeable future, and I would vote to keep him. But if they do trade him, tonight's performance may greatly enhance his value.

Since TJ surgery, Francisco has been pretty good, devastatingly awful, really good, really awful, and now his 2012.

Sure, he could put it together for 2013 and be worth $12.5m. But given his track record, I think it's time for the Twins to look in other directions.

Right. But if traded or if the Twins go in another direction, don't jump on the bashing wagon like everyone else surely would.

It's a tough call for the Ryan and the Twins. Can't be too upset if either way.

Look at you go. Talking about baseball again! It must feel good.

I don't think anyone would either way. I'm in favor of keeping him and have been all season, but the other side is just as valid.
