jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Not a bad little snag by Byron Buxton. Almost doubled off the runner, too.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 That was an odd strikeout. Why did Rasmus just stand there for a straight fastball right down the middle?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 It's not Santana's hair; it's his pitch location that needs to change. Apparently Allen has been working with him to adjust in the bullpen sessions; we'll see. You are probably right. However... I'm not the type to dismiss the possibility of hair or smelly feet.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 This guy is Juan Marichal minus the giant leg kick........................plus the beard.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Mike Fiers's delivery reminds me of a right handed Cole Hamels. Overhand, with a waist bend the reminds me of one of those drinking bird toys. http://www.amazon.com/Drinking-Bird-4975-The-Famous/dp/B000JSGLBK Note: I'm not hawking for Amazon. But I still think those ripstop nylon shopping bags are pretty neat.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I can never tell what mystical hexicle jinxicle things people actually believe. With me all of them
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Hey, anyone know where that Bob Dylan mural is being done? I want to see it on my trip in September
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 So...If we used one of those fancy shmancy beer can hats for the beverage of choice, and we used one of those bob dylan style harmonica holders for our food on a stick (and a bib if laundry is a concern), then what would we need hands for? Reaching for your wallet
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Buxton is getting pretty good at those shoestring catches. And he has a nice smile. I'd like to keep him around.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Ho Hum.....Buxton, too easy.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Buck reminds me of Gumby..................the Eddie Murphy version of course.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Hmmmm, so good outfielding does matter...........................who knew?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Buck with more good defense. I hope he gets up this inning.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Alright Which Twin Breaks up Fiers No-No
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 ummm........i think with this strike zone this umpire is hoping for a Fiers no-hitter, so the ump can be part of history, it is a super big strike zone.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I imagine there won't be much traffic on the game thread, what with it being a nice Saturday evening and the Purple playing at the same time.

I want to see it on my trip in SeptemberI don't know.http://www.onlinepianist.com/op-blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Old-Schmitt-Music-Building.pngBut this (Schmitt Music in downtown Minneapolis = closed now?) is where he bought his first harmonica holder. He had been using a coat hanger and his girlfriend was embarrassed and sent him to Schmitt.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Hey, anyone know where that Bob Dylan mural is being done? I want to see it on my trip in September I dont know but I'm guessing it's near "Maggie's Farm" in a "Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat".
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Not much control for Pelfrey this inning.
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Well the K zone has gone back to normal for Pelfrey, lets see when Fiers comes back out.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Pelf not happy with his pitch count being so low, currently working on fixing that.
Jham Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Mostly done i think. I guess some people were like, "look, the Beatles!"
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I dont know but I'm guessing it's near "Maggie's Farm" in a "Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat". But he don't want to work there no more.
Jham Verified Member Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Meanwhile, pelfrey slows the game to a crawl. OF of the future looks solid though.
