I named Fred a while back. I read his bio when he passed away. Born in New Ulm and a resident of Sleepy Eye, he made one appearance with the '61 Twins and failed to retire a batter.

No kidding.

At the 1991 Hall of Fame ceremonies Patrick Reusse autographed my Sid Hartman close personal friend t-shirt.

Someone confused his signature with Hall of Fame SS-Pee Wee Reese.

Dan Gladden. I don't remember him much as a player, but the guy has really grown on my as an announcer since Provus stepped in. Those two have something special IMHO.

Koos got replicated too.  This will only work if Dave edits his first post with an alphabetical listing every couple of hours for the next few months.

Back on topic with an ex-Twin who I didn't know was an ex-Twin until a few days ago...Charley "Shooter" Walters.

Houston Jimenez

Let's keep going with Twins shortstops who were automatic outs for $200, Alex. Who was Lenny Faedo?

I admire the apparent OCD that would both detect the duplication, and offer this solution. :)

Bad hitting shortstops? Nick Punto.

This guy played for both of "America's teams" as he made a few appearances at third base for the Yankees, as well as started as QB for a game with the Dallas Cowboys a year later.

Drew Henson

Not much Iowa representation- I Struck out Ryan Sweeney when he was a 9th grader to my Sr year.

So Ryan Sweeney.

Another Iowan and Twins draftee (did not sign) that I played against in HS that faired better, we were ahead 6-3 in the B7th vs Marshaltown HS.  Non-conference game, so had our 2nd teir pitchers going, as the bases were loaded w/ 2 outs.  Up comes Jeff Clemente (Sea & Pit), as he blasts one over the right feild fence for the walk off.  I see he also took over the HS record for most HR's from a player that was already mentioned, Drew Henson.  Great Game.

Playing the Mariners.

The Mariners were the first team to slap themselves after giving him away:

He played a few years in the NBA before his years as an MLB pitcher

Mark Hendrickson

Former NBA player and Chicago Cub and Dodger (also and actor) Chuck Connors.
