jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I like Tommy Milone. Guy really knows how to pitch. I hope the Twins are smart enough to keep him around. Don't be fooled by the modest velocity. He keeps hitters off balance as well as anybody else on this staff. Not exactly the "comfortable collar." He misses bats a bit more than that. Also very good at holding runners on first.

wxman91 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Nice baserunning! Sano single to right, Plouffe goes to third as does the throw, and Sano takes 2nd.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 great baserunning all around!
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Did Jones just pull a groin on that slip? He looks distinctly uncomfortable. I don't ever wish injuries on the opposition. I hope he's okay.
Doubles Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Not watching the game, just listening, but seems like a good time to submit that I really, REALLY like Gene Glynn as 3rd base coach.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Wow! Head's up running by Plouffe, and then by Sano!! Everybody safe, Sano at second!
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Looks like they were testing to see if Sano had a hole in his swing on the outside edge. Guess not!
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Damnit, Torii. 0-2, stranded 5 out there already.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 great baserunning all around!Yup ... caught the replay ...
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Hunter pops up. One wonders what Oswaldo Arcia would have done in that spot, with Rosario batting second...
James Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 The Twins have had a base runner on 3rd in every inning so far. It's just a matter of time before one gets home.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 c'mon Eddie . . . hang in there..
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Rosario needs to learn to lay off the high heat, quit climbing the ladder. He seems vulnerable to up and down pitches. Gotta narrow that zone, baby. Take some walks.
wxman91 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Crap, little infield pop-up that Jimenez catches with his back to the plate. If that dropped everyone would have been safe. 5 LOBs for Torii and Eddie through 3. Brutal.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 O's bullpen is pretty good - hope the Twins can find the plate soon or they'll run out of these scoring opportunities.
Loosey Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Damn, Ubaldo is playing with fire today but the Twins can't seem to strike.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Gameday says Pearce Tripled on a line drive to the SS. What really happened?
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Damn. Rosario needs to get choosier, take some walks. Sure he's got great hands, but that doesn't mean you try to hit everything in the same area code as the plate. Great hands, yes Eddie, but you're not Vlad Guerrero!
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 If Rosario hustles back to get that ball they might get him at 3rd there.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Gameday says Pearce Tripled on a line drive to the SS. What really happened? Off the top of the wall. Rosario leaped but whiffed on it and bounced back to mid-LF where Santana came in and got it and threw to third.
Blake Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Jiminez keeps flirting with disaster and the Twins aren't getting the job done.
wxman91 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Gameday says Pearce Tripled on a line drive to the SS. What really happened? Off the top of the wall. Rosario made an attempt at it, but it bounced so far back that Santana went out and got it and was a little late and wide with the throw to 3rd.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Ah - ok. I imagined some kind of ridiculous comedy of errors in which a liner tipped off Santana's glove and resulted in Steve Pearce chugging to third base... that makes a bit more sense.
wxman91 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Orioles up 1-0 on a run-scoring double play.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Sigh, I guess you settle for trading two outs for a run there...
clank2000 Provisional Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I'll take that 11 times out of 10.
