sftwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Man, Suzuki is just a black hole this year. Pretty much back to his career norms. Seems like a nice guy, but just guessing he's in the bottom 1/3 of starting catchers in the league.
gocgo Verified Member Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 At the beginning of the year, I just wanted the Twins to be competitive and they have exceeded that hope. They are having a bit of bad luck here. Plouffe's drive 2 inches higher and it's gone and we are tied. Rosario hits a dinger last night and the next two guys get on...reverse that and the game is tied.

SydneyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Is this Duensing's farewell performance before being DFA'd for Polanco? Looks like he's trying hard to beat out Stauffer for the honour

Now we're just good, in the same sense that 20-25 other teams are "good," to say nothing of the swoon the whole team is in.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Oh, hello- Had to miss the early going, anything resembling exercise has to be done here early AM- it's now 11 AM, 93 and 70% humidity-- miserable, kind of like the Twins bullpen. Swear to God, unless it's Fien or Perk, every single dude they trot out there just gives me the willies. Thompson, Boyer, Dunce, the lot of 'em.

gocgo Verified Member Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I flipped it over to the NBA finals for a bit and now I know why I like baseball. I couldn't tell you what a foul or traveling is anymore according to their "rules". The NBA is a joke and I couldn't care less who wins.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Boyer's long overdue due date coming due.Yep. The baseball gods are calling in their debts. Good thing the Twins have a day off Thurs.

Dude, it was like that in St Paul today, and I thought it was awesome.
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 What's with Suzuki lately. His strongest point was catching/blocking poor pitches. There must have been five past him tonight!

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 according to ESPN by WAR, Suzuki isn't in the top 40 in the MLB, and is number 33 in AL onlyHe's not gonna earn another extension this year with those numbers
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 He's not gonna earn another extension this year with those numbers i didn't know there were 33 catchers in the AL
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 There is no need for panic, or a pinch hitter. The meat of the order is up, we have em right where we want em. They just showed the Twins offensive highlights for the game. But I missed them, I was sneezing at the time.
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 He's not gonna earn another extension this year with those numbers You sure?
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 i didn't know there were 33 catchers in the AL 3 on the Twins alone! Lol (well there used to be)
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 You sure?just cuz he gets an extension, doesn't mean he earned it.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Well, without the allotment of first-inning runs, it's a slog for this team. And the fans. Yeh, have to confess, I'm one of the pessimistic crew- been waiting for that 8-game or so slide. The Royals just had a bad stretch, the Astros, and others, so everybody goes thru it. As happy as I've been to see good starting pitching and timely hitting this term, after so many years without, it's hard to have confidence that we'll pull out of a bad stretch by depending on the O to come through in a tight game. I have more confidence the starters will hold up long-term this year, than the offense.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Trevor Plouffe has two hits against Holland. Guess what they were.
