Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Here's my post-game summary of what we all just witnessed: olympic_rings_fail.gif That was awesome.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Here we go. I don't even remember hearing about that one. And I thought that Sochi was bad enough already.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Where is the Stick the Fork in him, about Duensing, oh yea, right, no one really cares about him LOL......c'mon Duensing, get out of this, dammit!!!!! Hey I started a thread entitled "Duensing Done?" Isn't that close enough?
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Hey I started a thread entitled "Duensing Done?" Isn't that close enough? Get a kindly moderator to change it to "Jam a Giant Pitchfork Up Duensing's Seat."
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Ash, Hrbowski and I are making plans to break the news to our mom that she needs to bring me down to see Trey Vavra and possibly Trevor Hildenberger. Wish me the very best of luck. ETA: That was directed to Ash. He is not part of the group, though that would be great fun. I picked out the day: https://www.ticketreturn.com/prod2/Buy.asp?EventID=135380#.VVkO2WCH_zI It has to be soon, or Trey will be promoted right out from under my nose.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Very late to the "party". Flat effort all around. Gibson wasn't sharp but kept the game within reach. Tonkin, Duensing, Thompson were pretty bad. Oliveros and Achter should be paying attention in Rochester. BTW, Stauffer got knocked around a bit in his rehab appearance. Please, please, please, TR, just say no to any more Stauffer.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Author Posted May 17, 2015 Well, that got the "winning game thread" monkey off my back. Time to win another series, boys! That means you have to win BOTH games against the Pirates.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Liriano and Worley sked for the Buccos. No word on Mike Redmond being signed as a player-coach to catch.

ashbury Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 looks a bit like Nishioka fielding a ground ball, no?Dis-concur. No evidence the guy is two seconds away from breaking an ankle. The NFL at least has rules to protect him.
Minniman Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Missed the game live. I see the Twins got rocked. Duensing has got nothing to put up there. As guess a 4-3 loss is the same on the record, but this was just a bad game.
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Liriano and Worley sked for the Buccos. No word on Mike Redmond being signed as a player-coach to catch. If the Twins were to lose both these games, I would think Terry Ryan would pull out all of his hair!
David HK Verified Member Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Small sample size (my favorite kind), but over the weekend playing outside the division, the AL Central has lost exactly one game, to Sabathia and a 3 run dinger. So everyone picked up a game on KC.And in the spirit of johnny-come-lately ('cause i didn't think of 'em at the time... i wonder why?) regarding a blank mind and the game thread intro:"Blanks get the job done too." & "Sometimes nothing can be a really cool hand." (Both lines from movies, i'll be pleased if anyone gets the first (it is generic enough perhaps to have other sources), while i expect most to get the second)OMG, it's well after game time and all, but I know that first one- because Repo Man spends his life getting into tense situations.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 OMG, it's well after game time and all, but I know that first one- because Repo Man spends his life getting into tense situations. Exactly! The second quote was from the scene where Cool Hand Luke gets his nickname. Still wish i'd thought of 'em during yesterday's thread, when they were a fitting response to the intro...
