I was delighted when Eddie Rosario was recalled from Rochester despite only average numbers at AAA.  Much like Danny Santana, I saw a free swinging young player that just might find his stride as he ascended to the majors.  Rosario had a good few weeks in the AFL this winter and looked good (not great) in spring training.

As we all know, Rosario's major league career began with a bang.  He homered on the first pitch he saw.  However, it is getting to the point that making contact is a real challenge.  Currently, Rosario has 10 strikeouts in 27 PAs and so far he hasn't accepted a base on balls.  In addition, Eddie has already been charged with two errors in the field and had another ball hit off his glove for a triple.

Much speculation has gone on about what happens when Arcia returns from the disabled list.  It seems pretty clear to me that Eddie could use some more time in the minors.  I think he's actually close, but he's not read to contribute to the Twins.

Yup his cup of coffee is just about done. Eddie will be back though and has a memory he will never forget.

Hopefully Robinson is in a good frame of mind to return to the team ASAP--I presume that is the next transaction.

Yeah, agreed that Eddie need some more time in Rochester - but I was damn glad they called him up to see what he can do. His time in bigs will serve him well, and I wouldn't be surprised if he tore the cover off the ball back in Rochester. His time will come.

I think this was a good call up. Now he has a taste and can go back to Rochester with an idea and taste of what he needs to do. I think the next time he comes up it may be for good. Am hoping that Hicks sticks this time but we'll see.

Nope. I think most knew it, too. He has a ways to go, but with this taste, maybe he gets a better drive in Rochester to get back to the show.  He sure can't jump very high!

I think that he is ready, and I don't think that just because he hasn't got a hit for a while doesn't mean he isn't, it seems that if a player gets in a slump people overreact, or even if a player gets on a short hot streak they overreact. He may be the player who gets sent down when Robinson comes of the family emergency list, but even if he does get sent down doesn't mean that the Twins don't consider him ready. Remember how just the other day people on here overreacted when Seth said that Rosario could be sent down? Just saying, baseball is kind of hard to predict...

yeah, I think he's not ready. This is a good use for a cup of coffee. He'll hopefully have a real good idea of where he's getting beat so that he can work on those in Rochester.

Agree with most of the posts.  He's not ready but he certainly showed flashes - he has a quick bat for sure.  He'll be up again later this year when rosters expand, if not earlier.  Hopefully he uses this time as a learning experience and works on some things in AAA.  I really liked him so hope he does well.
