Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Jordan Schafer has a MCL strain. Is that likely a 15 day DL, or a day to day? Hicks or Rosario, who ya got?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 It has been nearly two weeks since he pitched. I don't make up his excuses, I only post them Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino · 4h4 hours ago Molitor has been trying to "protect" Graham of late. Hasn't worked in 8 days: "I might have been a hair aggressive with him" early on.:
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Twins are trying hard to lose this game.

formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 The Twins will always be the same. Either we score runs and the pitchers give a sigh of relief (literally ), or else one of our better pitchers start and the hitters say, "A lone run'll do it" and we lose. Oh, did I forget to specify that the Twins acquire a loss in the first instance also?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 How come the Twins uniforms still have pinstripes on MLB Gameday? Sheesh, we're at the end of April here!!!!Is this a riddle or a question?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 I'll repeat what I said earlier. I HATE DP's when the Twins are batting.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Now I don't want to see any plays like this this top half of the inning. Or the top half of the 10th, or the 11th, or any other top half this game if we somehow manage to get there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=288mDRFMzeY
Whammy Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Nice DP. Sets up the double leadoff hitters next inning!
formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Oh, good. Now we get to start all afresh again. That's always fun.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 The Tigers make it look so d*mn easy.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2015 Author Posted April 29, 2015 Kaboom! There goes Casey Fien's ERA!
zchrz Provisional Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Perkins is the only reliever I have any trust in, this bullpen is so sad.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Shame Hughes DNF'd. A couple more zeros from him and we might have sewn this up.
tobi0040 Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Just looking through the box score. Why was Fien in for 5 hits? You don't let a reliever get 5 hits before they get 3 outs.
tobi0040 Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Is that likely a 15 day DL, or a day to day? Hicks or Rosario, who ya got? Hicks is outplaying him.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Good thing last night's game was only 2:40. We'll need it to even out today's.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Just looking through the box score. Why was Fien in for 5 hits? You don't let a reliever get 5 hits before they get 3 outs. Does allowing a pop-up that falls untouched on the pitching mound count as a hit?
tobi0040 Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Does allowing a pop-up that falls untouched on the pitching mound count as a hit? I wonder if the mound is in the pitchers zone, for his UZR rating.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Wow, need some help here... That is true on so many levels.
clank2000 Provisional Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Jordan Schafer has a MCL strain. Ahhhh, that explains that inside the parker....
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Ahhhh, that explains that inside the parker.... I think the strain happened on his falling down running to first (or something, just going off what I read in this thread)...... Either way, maybe this is his Wally Pipp moment.....
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Does allowing a pop-up that falls untouched on the pitching mound count as a hit? That dials back the total for the game to only 16, and 4 for Fien in an inning in the boxscore. Reassuring.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Mauer with 3 hits. .300 BA for the season. The cream is starting to rise to the top.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 In a way, this series has been good because it shows that the Twins can play with the Tigers. In another way, it has been very disheartening to see that they just can't get over the hump and close things out. (Not talking about you, Glen Perkins).
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
