Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Oh, and just so you know, not that you want to know, while you all were talking about which women you want to be on an island with, I bought 2 pairs of shoes. That was much more interesting to me.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Your beard is as good as this? Good for you, I am jealous. http://kmojfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/LeBron-James-203x114.jpg My beard smokes that...and you should taste my vol au vent.
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 They have a paper catalog? That's a waste when it's much easier to just use the computer. Why get a computer when you can spend hours completing an order form out of a catalog and wait 3 weeks for your shoes to arrive?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Oh gawd ... that was frightful. Whew! Robinson caught it!

glunn Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Oh gawd ... that was frightful. Whew! Robinson caught it!I am liking Robinson and Nunez tonight.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I'm back (after a short inadvertent nap) and we still have the lead. With Perkins in. Keurig is for closers? Doesn't quite have the same ring. Life is good.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Nice to see Perk's velo up to 95.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 So while we were selflessly offering to sacrifice ourselves for the Twins you were thinking only of your own feet?Somehow I'm not sure the sacrifice would actually be yours in the scenarios you were presenting.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Out! Out! Out! Get. Him. Out!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Yay!!! And in my best Chief 'voice,' since he isn't here ... Winnah!

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 My beard smokes that...and you should taste my vol au vent.I cooked chicken catch a tory for dinner tonight. They had fresh tories at the grocery store and I couldn't resist.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 8-5 after 9 innings. Circus Boy Update, as expected. (Oh, did i miss a PLC?)
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Somehow I'm not sure the sacrifice would actually be yours in the scenarios you were presenting. That's right, step on the punch line.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 That's right, step on the punch line. Um, there was a punchline there? Guess I missed that.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 My insanely great neighbor roasted duck for my wife and I tonight. Horrid execution, but I appreciated someone cooking for me, and I love his confidence, cooking stuff like that, when he knows I'll excoriate him later.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 The second video down is my girl handling a post game interview, in Italian, without much of a hitch. She screws up at the end. Her teammates gave her appropriate crap afterward. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Obiettivo-Volley/168864156647913I don't speak a word of Italian, but I know an American accent when I hear one. Seriously, good for her. I can't even play volleyball and she can do it while mastering a second language.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 My insanely great neighbor roasted duck for my wife and I tonight. Horrid execution, I would never ever ever ever cook for you, not even for one of Brian's insane scenarios where the Twins win the WS for the rest of eternity.

My wife and I took Italian classes all winter, since it looks like that's where she's going to play out her pro career.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Um, there was a punchline there? Guess I missed that. It's OK, Cicely Strong didn't have much in the way of punchlines tonight either, and she still got applause. No, not really a punch line per se, just the whole series of posts was predicated on the observation you made.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 My boss is constantly correcing my Italian pronunciation. Once in his office, in front of a group of people, he asked how a pronounced a particular word. Since he said the word, I looked at him and said 'Just like that.' He laughed. And I got out of possibly saying it incorrectly.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I would never ever ever ever cook for you, not even for one of Brian's insane scenarios where the Twins win the WS for the rest of eternity. That dry-assed duck was like manna from Heaven. I love it when other people feed me.

And I got out of possibly saying it incorrectly. It's an interesting language. I took 4 years of Latin, so Italian came pretty easy, but they have a ton of words borrowed from other languages, and they are sticklers for cleaning words up and matching suffixes.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Oh, you mean a whole series of nonsense posts that is the game thread? Is that a problem?
