Site Speed/Issues

Maybe it's just me or maybe it's opening day traffic...but is anyone else having trouble with the site loading slowly?  I'm also unable to view my notifications when I click on them.

I didn't have any issues today. Sometimes it's one of those things that comes and goes.

I'm experiencing some very slow connectivity today to TD (and only TD, not other sites), on all three browsers at my disposal (Foxfire, Safari and Chrome), both at home and elsewhere.

Yep, we're having some issues. Should be better now, working on a longer term fix.

Yeah … after I posted that I was like … okay … I 'stuck a fork in it' and now it's better.

I'm getting annoying redirects to the App Store on my iPad. I'll just be reading, the screen will freeze for a second then redirected. Any suggestions on that?

Every once in awhile a bad ad will sneak in like that. Unfortunately, you just have to wait it out until the ad is pulled. I've had it happen maybe 3-4 times in the past year.

It's doing it about every 15-30 seconds. Seriously. The app it goes to us called Draft Kings.

This is really getting bad. It just happened again as I was typing this reply. I did get a chance to see the 3-4 redirections that were happening, which makes me wonder what other treasures were being planted in the process.

 

And happened again while reviewing the site privacy policy, which looks kind of shaky at the moment.

And I'm also now getting redirects to different websites not just the App Store, but the App Store one is definitely happening the most.

Hmmm. Okay, I will review which networks run on mobile and send them nasty emails.

 

BTW, is anyone getting this on a phone or is it iPad/tablet-only? That matters because we run different themes and networks for the different versions of the site.

For me it's only on my iPad. I do use my phone quite a bit so you'd hear double from me if that were the case.

There have been issues with that off and on, but they always went away quickly and weren't so ... 'insistent.' This time, however, if I sit for any length of time reading, I'm redirected in about 20 seconds. Go back, read, redirected. Go back, redirected.

 

It's been doing this for about ... a week, at most ... but because it's just so ... insistent, as I said ... it's just beyond super annoying and difficult to be patient with.

And, just as an fyi to all of this, I downloaded the app (which cost nothing) thinking ... okay, maybe if I 'comply' with this insistence, it might go away. It didn't, so app is now deleted.

I'm late to this party but the same redirects are happening to me. I can have the website idle on my iPad and it will still redirect me to the App Store to download Draft Kings. I thought it was just my iPad but good to know it's happening to others....

Oh, please don't reinforce their shenanigans. I'm tempted to complain to the developer.
